Nutrition Blog Network

FAQ’s

What is the Nutrition Blog Network?

This is a site that features only bloggers who are registered dietitians.  The goal is to provide a trusted destination for reliable, science-based nutrition information.

How can I join the Nutrition Blog Network?

All participants must be registered dietitians. For RDs who have blogs, they must meet the established criteria and complete an application to be included in the Network.  Bloggers are approved based on pre-established criteria and only approved blogs will be featured on the site.

Are there any fees to join the Network?

No. Everything is free. There are no costs to join the Nutrition Blog Network.

Who is the sponsor of the Nutrition Blog Network?

Weber Shandwick provided the financial support to help launch and maintain the Network, although the public relations firm is not participating in the creation of the content and is not responsible for the information. Nutrition Blog Network was created by registered dietitians Janet Helm of Nutrition Unplugged and Lori Fromm, who are the administrators of the site.  Even though the participants may be members of the American Dietetic Association, the ADA is not affiliated with the Network.

Who are registered dietitians?

Registered dietitians are food and nutrition professionals who have met stringent educational and professional requirements.  To learn more, or to locate a registered dietitian in your area, visit eatright.org.

Do you accept dietetic students?

No.  Not at this time.  But we look forward to welcoming future RDs to the Network.
